I've been on these boards a long time, and in that time I've only posted a couple of songs. Here is my first remix:

I'm only 10 seconds in and I can already tell this is something special
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

sorry McDude, was away for the weekend, no interweb (was nice!)

this is pretty cool man, like the above wrote, fun 80s vibe, this had to be fun to make!

good inspiration to find 80s acapellas and the midi files (or figure out how to play the lines.) this had to be fun to make, classic synth lines!! did you find stems or use midi files or play them or keep MWOH hostage as your studio slaves or ??

forum- McDude has put up a few tunes that went completely overlooked, good stuff too, acoustic guitar fun.

It says without hats, but i hear lots of hats. What gives?

btw, I prefer "with" hats and less safe too.

The first thing I did was record the original vinyl into the computer. then in Session I chopped up the different parts of the song (verse, chorus, bridge, etc). I had it set up like how I DJ with Live, where you have different song parts in different clips so you can rearrange on the fly. I like to do this and play with the transposition knob on various clips as I go.

So I did that, I recorded the first two minutes of the song performance style. I moved over to Arrangement from that point on. I overdubbed electric guitar, electric bass, some vocals. I programmed a bunch of beats and basslines using only Pluggo on top of everything.

It was fun as hell and I'm psyched to do more.

Aqua - I hope you get to check it out. I want your input.
