If they were to release a totally new version of the MBP, would you really buy the 1st gen?

I'm giving things another year, and then hopefully I may pick up a MBP quad-core with dual SSHD's.

I get a semi just thinking about it. Is that wrong?

I'm interested to see what changes they make, but I don't think it's going to affect me cause I was planning on picking up a refurb anyways.

Plus I like the way it's designed as of now... 8)

What a useless rumor. "Apple will update shit". Gee thanks. I'm so excited by the amount of thought and detail in this speculation.

if by heating up, you mean the common overheating problem, leading to eventual "explosion on your genitals", then I suggest you get a Dell.

SAY IT 3 TIMES WITH ME...MBP IS EXPENSIVE FOR NO REAL REASON...

or like my programming lecturer says :
"How do you spot a sucker on the street?! "
"he's the one with the MacBook"...

not saying it's a bad product... just saying it's overly overly overly priced...

I'd rather have an ugly mofo if it costs less and kicks the other's pampered hiney. Which is often what Dell's medium-high range have done to the comparably Macbook for many years.

But when the Macbook is choking under the strain and you have no money left to feed the kids, take consoloation in the fact that your laptop is aesthetically 'nice'.

BTW - I like Apple computers and may well get one next upgrade, and they are not quite as expensive as they once were but still could use a price cut.
