who is he? or should I wikipedia it myself?

Seems well done. I'm 38, so he was technically even before my time. I never got into Motorhead, but I remember hearing about him as a teenager playing bass, wishing I had a Rickenbaker (mainly because of Chris Squire and Geddy Lee).

But I take Lemmy for a true icon and legend. He added distortion to bass guitar before Cliff Burton, and was a good front man.

i'm not a huge motorhead fan either, but hawkwind is ok.

Lemmy is a rock god. Cool bass sounds, he clangs on that Rickenbacker like no-one's business, listen to his bass solo in Stay Clean etc. Motorhead are cool, especially their early albums with Fast Eddie and Philthy Animal Taylor.
