Wow, Im a believer. I played with Ms. Pinky stuff but never made anything useful out of it. Great work, can't wait to see a first run available for sale - I will definately pick it up.

P.S. Please give Ableton first shot at a derived VST/hardware solution or built in functionality - Live 8 with Super Scratch would be the bomb.

I think I made my first Usenet post in 1989 and my first web site in 1994. I was surprised to see that I can search for things I wrote as far back as 1995 quite easily.

Some of you guys (and any gals in here) might one day wish you didn't write in the style you do or use words the way you do.

Consider what an employer might do if they find your forum id, or what might happen if you try to run for public office outside of an anarchist party.

When I grew up I had a summer job in a mill that paid well, but I had to work around people who spoke the way things are written in here. I told myself I would go to college and get a good job so that I wouldn't have to be around this type of person.

If it weren't for the occasional good tip that's so hard to find through the vast amount of noise I'd be out of here in a flash.

OK, now you have probably labeled me as a holier-than-thou, pretentious jerk, but please take this in the spirit of friendly, common-sense advice.

You will be remembered forever by what you write today.

all I did was politely suggest that his thread title could be improved up upon. nathan got lippy, so I trolled him to get a rise out of him, just having some fun with the guy. I've been in a GREAT mood all day. go back and read how this unfolded, not that it's a big deal.

arachnaut - true, but this is nothin...

I heard a story of a Sysop interview going wrong, at the end of a great interview they exchanged screen names, turned out they'd be flaming each other. pwnage did ensue.

nathan - btw FWIW I was just clowning, you don't have to like me, just saying...

edited to tone it down a bit, it ain't nothing.

'sall good, I need a good calling out from time to time. trust me, if I get really out of line there are people DYING to rip me a new asshole.

speculation on how this works?
Live sends a midi note to tell a max/msp patch which loop to pick
max reads from Live the looping status, probably via his Python work
then a Ms Pinky interface into this 2nd app.

Something wonderful HAS happened.

I've never been religous, but I can see me becoming a Monkeyhist, or following Monkeyism. Hell - I might even jump on the bandwagon of Moneyanity.
