VST battery - ableton

Post by pbasonuk » Sat Apr 05, 2008 11:02 am

Hi

I have downloaded Battery and want to use it in Ableton as a plug in.

I am clicking on the plug in symbol and its not on there.

Should i have saved battery in a specific place on my pc in order for ableton to recognise the VST??

hope someone can help.

Cheers

I presume you're talking about the Battery demo?

You had a choice to install the VST version. Set your plugin folder in Live's preferences to the folder that the Battery plugin installed itself to. If you don't have any plugin folder named in your system, it will usually be C:/Program Files/Vstplugins or C:/Steinberg/Vstplugins.

I just saved the batter VST version onto my C drive.

I can open it up fine, but i cant find it anywhere to open when i look through all my ableton files.

The location of my battery is C:\Programme files|Native instruments\ battery \ bin.

Or even better, buy a legal, current version. Battery hasn't used a .bin folder since v1; it's at 3.0.4 nowdays...

WTF

Some wanker tells me to read a manual ( I thought Ableton was supposed to be a community to help people) so thanks for that fella, you cock.

And secondly, all i did was look for some free downloadable vst's to practice with, I did NOT ask for an ilegal software package.

If this is how newbies get treated in here then ile fuck off elsewhere.

Battery isn't free software- it's a commercial product.

As an owner and user of Battery 2 and 3, I must concur. Battery is a commercial product.

Where exactly were you looking?

Is that the same place you found Ableton Live?

Why don't you have a manual?

Don't you have the pdf file?

WANKER

the manual explains where to place your vst instruments, and it explains how to access you "free" vst instruments

good luck with your angry wank.
