diskeeper? pc-doctor?

Post by djastroboy » Fri Mar 07, 2008 6:21 pm

Just cleaning out the crap on my new laptop and I was wondering if these programs are worth keeping.
Any real use for them?
I want to have as little stuff running in the background as possible.

diskeeper is great for defrag. dunno about pc doctor. i use system mechanic by iolo for cleaning. uncle leo says registry cleaning has never been proven to help with anything, but i do it anyway.

For cleaning, I use CCleaner, it's been quite good and free.

This is the best one seriously, he doesn't go to deep in the registry and clean the temps files pretty well.

I would nuke both pc doctor and diskeeper.

I use ccleaner with the built in defrager on my pc and I never encountered any troubles in the last year. I think I defragmented it once in the last 6 months.
