I always found MIDI yoke a bit unnreliable, but loop be has only one port
The combination of Live 7.02 and MidiYoke can crash in certain situations, I have send some informations and how to recreate this to Ableton staff.

There is an alternative to MidiYoke named MapleMidi, but I think MidiYoke is more reliable, will have to check for the crashing issues.

yeah I think I'll just live with 1 for now - Loop be seems really stable and you can do a surprising amount with just one

plus, you can generate instant dummy clips with it and use them if you run out

Are the NicFit CC plugs stable in current Live versions?

Woohoo! Nice!
Of course, a native MIDI LFO from Ableton would be best, and probably easy to implement as well.
Thanks!

yeah, that blog rocks. guys a genious. although its a bit more fuzzy to get up and running then this vst version.

for people asking for os: windows only.
since the author of the plugin entered the thread and said hi (hi to you too, i think you just made half the ableton community shit themselfes :D), perhaps now would be a good time to ask the developer any questions you might have, such as potentional osx ports.

for midiyoke: i usually use two or three yokes at the same time, one for my hercules crap thing running through bomes, the rest for things such as this.

to me, they seem stable. surely they crash on midi feedback (ie routing it back into itself) , but thats not really something new.

This stuff will all be possible when the Max/MSP collab with Ableton comes to full fruition.

"This stuff" is entirely possible now with Max/MSP and Ableton.

mac os

Post by palomo » Fri Mar 07, 2008 11:58 am

hello

this plug is made with synthedit (great software), so it's impossible to convert it to mac os

as I now there's no mac os version of synthedit planned

sorry

Just can't get this plugin (vst nor vsti version to work) despite setting it up exactly as shown.

I've tried using the vst version after the Operator plugin too. No different.

Why is there a Channel number for each LFO showing 1 on the example pic when the recommended midiyoke channel is 2? Tried changing it to 2 and it made no difference.

On the example pic Operator is shown with its Monitor set to Off and with the Send level up. When I try this there is no sound.

All Preferences are set as shown as well.

Found the mistake I made: Had not linked the LFO to the Operator macro / part.

Works now.
