Hi

Thanks for the reply
The problem with rewire is that you can't use vst in the effect chain, otherwise I agree it would be great

I will try the consolidate command, although I wonder if it works for aux bus ?

I bump on this. Critical and should be super easy to implement.

yes, that would be nice but probably won't happen.
abletons want you to stay in Live right 'til the end of the mix. (not transfer over to protools) so why offer export?

Gets my vote too, I can't see why all apps don't have this to be honest. Makes doing backups for future use very easy too, you don't have to worry if any of your plug ins or VSTi's will still work in ten years :)

IMO those methods dont really cut it;

1. This can only work if you're not using any vst or vsti plugins, as these are unavailable when Live is used in Rewire mode. I dont actually know about pro tools because I don't own a copy, but in Nuendo you can't record the incoming rewire channels. You'd have to buy a plugin like (the excellent) TapeIt (http://www.silverspike.com/tapeit.html).

2. This method is a PITA to set up!
Consolidate is much easier, but is no use because it bypasses any plugins and automation.

Track export would be SUCH a useful feature. Live is great for quickly working out and laying down ideas, but its not a fully fledged sequencer. At some stage its usually going to be necessary to export your mix. At the moment this takes so long, you may as well have just done it all in your sequencer instead.
I love Live though. It rocks!!

Asked for this a long time ago, basically the same as the option in Cubase vst that appeared when you hit export to export as stereo from master or as all selected parts. It ruled for so many reasons-great if you want to make a continous mix cd with separate track markers too.
Count me in!

This option has my vote!

I've just been searching to see if something like this was actually available in Live now, and found this stream. This just seems like a no brainer to me. Live is my only sequencer, and I want to record a CD on it, but I want a friend to mix the CD and it would be helpful to be able to just export each songs tracks in one shot, instead of having to export each track - that'd take forever!!!

-I'm sure someone wise at some point said something to this effect.
