why don't you use the troll script killer and block him - some of us are actually interested in what's going up over there

just block him and get on with your life

So you think him posting slightly pervy pictures of women without their consent is informing you about NAMM. I suggest either going to NAMM yourself or wait until the usual music magazines print their no doubt far more informative take on it.

Anyway, I kind of am enjoying being horrible.
Sorry, nowhere near horrible, just a dick is all.

slightly pervy?? was there an upskirt thread I missed? did they get a George Michael bathroom shot with Sparklepuff?

I'm not only thanking him for the pics, I asked him to take them.

you need practice, you're not very good at it. I think you might be too nice to be a REAL d0uche_bag.

I have no reason to be horrible to you Tone Deft. You've always been very helpful.

My gripe is with Nebulae's post about the Ableton people not throwing rose petals in his path to greet him. It came across as so pathetic. But, I guess you are implying I should lay off and chill.
Actually, I am chill. My nickname is Astral Fridge Magnet after all and yeah I do have better things to do, so I'll stop for a while.

And now...the moment you've been waiting for....Max 5!!!!!!

Max/Msp demo - fantastic...learned so much about it just from a few minutes of explanation...
Image

Pallate of tools to create whatever you can imagine (synths, effects, diagnostics, literally anything!)...
Image

New help files that tell you what each device needs you to do to make it work...
Image
Image

Constructing a simple signal flow...
Image
Image

A synth LFOs drawn in...
Image

Now it gets good...this is an LFO curve that is controlling Live's EQ8...
Image
Image
Image
Image

Crossfader curves that allow you to crossfade between three channels in Live...
Image
Image
Image
Image

You can see the midi coming in from Max to control Live...
Image
Image

Jitter - Midi from Live is controlling how this Jitter application displays video...

Although they couldn't say what the relationship between the two companies would create, the clues are all here. I think Max will eventually allow you to build synths and effects inside Live, and Live will also allow you to control video for performing. And that's not even the tip of the iceberg...

Great stuff!!

But before I go, the urge to repeat this post is far too strong.

Nebulae bawling because the Ableton people weren't friendly to him. I just reckon their dickhead radar was working perfectly, which might explain why they avoided him

Looks sick. One of these day's I'm going to buy max.

Maybe that's what I'll do, wait and buy Ableton 8 next year along with Max in one shot and call it quits at that. Seems like enough to keep me busy for the rest of my life.
