like with any plug in live (built in or from elsewhere): just hit the disquette-like button - on the automat object in the plug-in-pane

I have this old Live project using Automat; I've migrated to new computers a couple of times since its creation. When I open it in Live 7, the Automat presets within this particular set are lost; it plays with the default sound.

Question: is this most likely due to the new Live version, or a new Automat version? Can't remember which Automat version I created it in, though I believe it's before 0.4.2. Where would the original preset have been stored?

0.4.2 and 1.0 can coexist peacefully.

Anything made in 0.4.2 isn't compatible with 1.0, therefore Stiwi has made it possible for us to have both installed.

I've been using 0.4.2. Is 1.0 really that much better? And why?

Just checked, empty of course. Shit. Why wouldn't Live have it stored within the set? I have newer sets with Automat, why wouldn't these be stored there as well?

You seem to have things mixed up. Presets are only stored there if YOU store them there.
You don't need to save presets when you save a live set, but you do need the version of Automat you used to create the set. This would be 0.4.2 or lower.

Automat has never been great with backwards compatibility. At least not before it went to 1.0.
