What do you mean buy "just empty"? Completely empty....no graphics...nada?

The Top left window will be empty...you can only make additional CPU Freq./Voltage Pairs by purchasing a license......

Which version of coolbook is that? It looks like it might have been the earlier 1.3

fantastic! now it works. i apparently downloaded an older version first. thank you.

EDIT: interestingly, i get a maximum of around 58% in live's cpu meter running the performance test. without coolbook that is (haven't purchased it yet), only monitoring through it.

i read that if you have it running when your going on battery power it sucks the battery dry really fast just sitting at idle...i think it only said on santa rosa chips though. all you got to do is deactivate it and reboot for when ur gonna be using battery juice.

I think you only have to worry about the battery if you actually change the battery settings in Coolbook. I am checking this with Magnus......

is it seriously true that you cant turn speedstep on and off via OSX? This is a BIOS option on most pc's, or can be sorted by turning all power saving off. Is the Coolbook software doing anything else than just turning speedstep off, and if so, cant it be done otherwise in OSX?

Well, I do have glitches when using CpuNow (same as Speedstep) on my AMD CPU as well, because at low CPU it stays at lower clocks which seem to be a problem for either Live or the audio-drivers. That being said I wonder why this is happening at all and if this isn't more of a problem with Live. Manually clocking the CPU to it's maximum speed is easily possible under Windows. Not so under Mac OS if I understand this thread right?!

I will do some tests with my three different audio-cards and other hosts than Live to see if its a general problem or a Live specific.
