recording questions

I'm trying to record a guitar part into one track while playing along with the Reason audio which is piped into another track via Rewire. However, I can't seem to record JUST the guitar, the Reason audio signal gets recorded into the track along with my guitar.

Is there a way to isolate it, so it is just recording the guitar signal despite what is coming out of the other tracks?

I am plugging my guitar into my Soundblaster Audigy 2 quarter inch mic input.

Make sure input type is set to Live In in the track mixer. and that the input channel is set to the audigy

Also make sure that the audigy isnt doing anything wierd with the output signal, like mixing it in with the input signal.

I dont own an audigy but I know some of those cards can do some cool things as far as routing audio around.
