Post by Creator » Thu Nov 08, 2007 4:16 pm

Hey guys, need help!
have a gig and radio tomorrow!

i have the 410 maudio and im using ableton 6.0.7, also soundforge.
my mic in works in ableton for about 5 mins, then it just stops working and the firewire wont work in soundforge either (mic input).

it just knocks off automatically.

its not ableton specific, anyone know what this could be?

have to ask... are you using both at the same time?

check to see what your AUDIO is setup as in ableton.
i know ASIO and multiple sound apps opened at the same time don't play so nice together.

Hi,

I have been having months of problems with ableton and my firewire 410 (same problem, it just randomly cuts out after 5 mins). After many phonecalls to support I found out that the 410 will NEVER work with windows media edition. After reinstalling xp pro I was still having problems and was then told that my Dell laptops firewire port is also incompatable with the 410 (something to do with IRQ conflicts). Just ordered a new firewire card (with a texas instruments chipset), hoping this will finally solve my problem.

I think its terrible that they don't mention these things beforehand!

Hope that helps
