I'm looking forward to Live running on 64-bit iPhones. It'll only cost you 10 cents a minute via AT&T to run it.

I can't wait for Apple to take over the world so I can stop rebelling against them.

I'm reading into this NOT.
OK, so I'll restate my question most clearly now. (Hoping to hear from Amaury )

What are the system requirements for Live 7's 64 bit mix summing?

Hi,

I heard something... :)

The requirements are the one you can read on the box or website. Again, we're talking of 64 bits summing, at every mixing point in the software. So, all systems we support support the new 64 bits summing. It has nothing to do with 64 bits processors nor 64 bits operating systems.

Amaury

the same as Live 6's processor. dude, you're trying to squeeze water from a rock.

ultimately when Ableton releases their white paper on the L7 audio engine, a LOT of questions will be answered, maybe the Henkenator can drop some science.

anyway, my $0.02, maybe Amo will help you, ignore me. ;)

I miss DOS sooooo much. as a 13 year old kid I knew what just about all the files in the OS directory did, they made sense. 20+ years later I don't know what some of the file TYPES do or even WHERE all the files for the OS are.

at least on a mac they're linux based files (right?) so you know it wasn't developed by slave labor hyped up on the Seattle coffee.

oh i know.
but the fact remains, the fanboy's will only need one version of their os..

I am curious as too the cpu usage now that it's processing all this stuff in 64 though.

I don't really notice a difference on my CPU between the L6 and L7 tests I've done recently
