Hi there, i just purchase a brand new macbook pro after being bitten by a toshiba p100 that had unresolvable audio glitches :*(
i bought the mac book based on a chorus of glowing reviews including a bunch of people saying that winxp via bootcamp is great for audio and motu ultralites work fine.
I installed the ultralite as normal (in XP here) and all seemed to be well...but i dont get any sound output, only a loud Buzzzz sound and all the outputs on the front LCD of the ultralite go up to max. No matter what i do i cant get it to do anything else.
has anyone else succesfully got a motu ultralite running in windows xp via bootcamp on a mackbook PRO?...
any help would be greatly appreciated...im freaking out here worrying ive bought yet another dud live setup and just wasted more hard to come by cash
thanks for your help, its much appreciated
-Dan
PS. i can get it working fine in osx, but thats not going to be my main audio production environment so its very important i can get it going in XP or will have to re-sell otherwise.

Hi there,
I'm in the exact same predicament as you - MBP 17" with an Ultralite on Bootcamp. I just applied all the hotfixes you listed, and still no dice. I can't get any audio through the interface, and the CueMix console has a message saying "CueMix not in sync blah blah blah". As an added bonus, it also causes the entire computer to lock up and force a hard reboot occasionally.
Does anyone have any further suggestions? I'm gonna have to put this thing back on eBay unless I can get some further help here.
After all the good stuff I'd read about MOTU, I'm surprised at how crappy this thing has been. My M-Audio FW410 may not have the best converters in the world, but at least it has worked first time, every time, on every computer and OS combination I've ever connected it to.
