hmm, there must be an issue somewhere.
not sure what it is, very unusual .

as you can see here, this is how
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=1
looked to me when mercyplease was the last to post.

Which is the correct display behavior.

I had no idea how popular this simple idea would be...glad to see the enthusiasm for it, and huge props to Angstrom for tweaking it to perfection.

Neb5K: mad props to all you mofos :)

...except for the trolls...to whom I can only say "buh-bye"....wish I could see you waving back, but I can't. Ignorance is bliss indeed.

when I came and looked at the thread I could not see mercyplease's posts.
So, it works correctly for me, but not for others it seems? Let me know on here if you have problems.

it should be

1: posts started by a troll will not display in the main listings such as search results or 'general' , 'tips and tricks' .

2: posts where a troll was the last to post WILL display in the above listings

3: If you decide to read one of those threads where a troll was the last to post .. you won't see his posts, only us fanboys, etc, etc.

that's the way it works for me anyway. So, if anyone has problems with the current version let me know. If I don't answer ... *cough* ;)

Yeah, for me, if the troll is the last poster, then I don't see the entire thread on the main page.

So I'm guessing that the script checks the whole line for the troll name, not just the Thread Author column.

BTW Neb was the magical helper elf who came up with this mystical druidry, I had to entice him back with carrots and sugar cubes before he was ready to return to the flock

Thanks for the nudge...I needed it...but I didn't want to come back until there was a way to get back to what's great about this community, minus the cancer that's taken hold. Now we can, so let's get the magic back.

I'm not sure I get you correctly, but I dont see posts started by them - I might try a temporary one to test the other conditions

mmm, it does check the whole row - but then it checks to see if it is the author before it does anything .

you can see here, where the originator is Alex , he has the parent class of 'name', while the most recent respondent 'hades' has a span class of 'postdetails' , which is a stupid class name if you ask me - but it serves to differentiate between 'authors' (ie = delete them) and respondents (show them)

Code: Select all

<td class="row3" align="center" valign="middle">
<span class="name"><a href="profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=184">Alex</a></span></td>
<td class="row3Right" align="center" valign="middle" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="postdetails">Thu Aug 02, 2007 2:20 pm<br /><a href="profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=25702">Hades</a>
well, it should do anyway !
