This will have an interesting side effect. I won't use it personally (I just skip over posts that are nonsense, and I enjoy spirited debate).

BUT, it will encourage a guy like me to post on topic a little more often; just to punish anybody who blocks me, I think I'll delve into Live and post a really kick-ass tip/trick that would revolutionize the way they produce / perform...

Their loss, those bitches.

yeah, but you just have to hope no one quotes the tip, then the fuckers will be able to read it!

I think I took that bit out (quote hiding),
although you may have an earlier version which still had it in.
It seemed like functional overkill and I don't like script bloat to slow down peoples browsers.

My logic for removing it from the final version was :
if someone you trust is quoting someone you don't trust - well it may be actually worth reading, otherwise .. the person doing the quoting may be worth putting on your hide list.
IE, your friends shouldn't pollute your page.

I could put it back in if you really want.

also, a lot of quotes end up like the one above, and couldn't be picked out anyway.

Might be a little OT here, but I use another phpBB forum about motorbikes which has a friends and foes list in your user profile. So you can block people whose posts you don't want to read. Might be useful on here as it's a feature that has been requested before... however if you block someone you never know what terrible things they are saying about you behind your back... :)
