Stuck notes with Automap

There was a problem with notes sticking when re-wiring Live to Reason, using the Novation Automap server.

I've since learned the fix: go into:

Library/Application Support / Propellerhead Software / ReWire
and find the file named AutomapServer.bundle.

Delete the file. And the problem is gone.

Uhhhh... lots of SL fanboys around here, I've had mine for 2 years, ever since they came out, no problems other than some issues in the way the interface is laid out. Win XP Pro, all the latest SL software.

Love mine. My Lemur and 25 SL work in perfect harmony on stage and in the studio. Sounds like you've got some troubleshooting to do.

I don't know what the F*** Happened with this though.

Suddenly I'm getting all kinds of crazy behavior with reson+live and I'm losing my mind.
I just bought the SL and installed it and it started.

Stuck notes, and COMPLETELY unable to use live+reason anymore because of it.

it's a sign from god to just blow my brains out. f*ck it all

I don't use one of these,, but i have seen one being used very successfully with Live and Logic,, so i know it works,,
you say you have just got it,,
are you sure you have the latest software for it,, i know it got updated in the last couple of weeks,,

FWIW, mine's been acting weird with Logic since the latest update, but as I really don't use the automap functions anyway, been too lazy to look into it more.

Everything is the latest. I just installed it two days ago.

And now Live+Reason is wrecked.

When a Live track or session clip plays back midi to Reason, notes stick
on every pass of the loop.

Notes are sticking, MIDI Clips are blasting out what sounds like someone leaning against a midi keyboard.

hmm ... could this be a MIDI feedback ?

if so -- you have to turn off MIDI thru.

My first thought as well. When ever things go completely crazy in a music app, it turns out to be a MIDI feedback loop. Sometimes physical, sometimes virtual.

It started after I installed the software for the RemoteSL.
Before that everything was okay.

Thought of midi feedback, but these stuck notes happen even when ALL Controllers are disconnected.

Manually adding notes to Live's Piano Roll and playing, the problem still occurs.
the Remote is turned off.

Live records normally and the pianoRoll displays recorded notes accurately.
But Reason is hearing them via ReWire as indefinitey sustaining notes (stuck notes).

Could mean RemoteSL's software altered ReWire in some way.

You don't have any emulated MIDI ports installed (ie. MIDIYoke) do you?

Nothing like that.
In this mac's AudioMidi setup there is:

MIDISPORT 2x2 (which has my regular midi keyboard controller attached to it)
ReMOTE SL
IAC Driver

That's it.

Do a complete uninstall and try again.
