interesting bug (not entirely ableton)

Post by gomi » Wed Jun 13, 2007 4:49 am

i am testing 6.07 out on a new macbook pro (with the santa rosa) and reason 3.05

reason worked as a rewire for about 5 minutes, then live crashed, and reason
gives an exception error everytime you try and load it after live (as rewire)

on it's own it's fine.

i am downloading 6.08b3.

also i notice the audio card on the mac makes strange high pitched tones
when live comes on, randomly. i haven't noticed it with other apps (yet)

I haven't tried an external audio source yet.

edit: it seems to be a headphone audio weirdness on the mac itself.

.. after a reinstall of reason and live same weirdness.

only when reason is rewired to live does it mess up. it won't load
any patches, and gives an unknown exception error.
i'll post on their support forum as well.

this is on a new macbook pro santa rosa 2.2ghz, 2GB, internal audio
live 6.07 and 6.08b3.
osx 10.4.9 preinstalled.

i might try a reinstall of 10.4.8 from an older disc.

i dont have anything else to try rewire with, the few other plugs i have
seem to work flawlessly.
