CROSSFADES for audio regions, please

Oh, got it! Another workable way of implementing this.

Also, to clarify, perhaps Ableton could add a crossfade automation lane. Perhaps it would be better if the "right-click to choose fade type" would only work in the crossfade lane. (Side-note: it would be great if you could use predefined fade types in all the automation lanes!) In normal view you would just see the adjustable semi-translucent overlapping clip ends...

Maybe I should start a new topic, but while we're here. How about this as a way of implementing the predefined curve/fade types in the automation lanes:

1. Select a piece of audio (specifically you'd be selecting a piece of an envelope)
2. Right-click to reveal a dropdown of predefined curves/fades/shapes
3. The one you choose gets applied over your selection (without a million breakpoints - a continuous curve)

The only breakpoints would be at the ends of your selection. Also you could add and move breakpoints to the curve while retaining the character of the curve. The curve would change in proportion to the distance a breakpoint was moved. In other words, it wouldn't just snap back to a straight line if you added a break point inside your selection/curve.
