"sexier than everything but the girl"

Post by kimyo » Sat Feb 17, 2007 7:04 pm

the folks at http://www.amphetameme.org were too too kind to us.

here are some examples of their prose:
"I’d also like to add a note about “who they sound like”. To tell the truth, they remind me a little of “Everything But The Girl”, only sexier - if such a thing is possible."

"But damn, what a fine job Galibert and Abbott have done – hot bitch arsenal might best be described as My Bloody Valentine meets the Velvet Underground with Nelly Furtado or Texas‘ Sharleen Spiteri as their front-person. The triumph here is Ms. Abbott’s voice – appropriately, they call their music Sultronica. To be frank, Ms. Abbott could melt provolone cheese with her voice. Don’t believe me? Listen [Click to listen] here.

And then, Mr. Galibert’s guitar licks seem to have been hatched from the Eno-Fripp factory c. 1982. Anybody familiar with that body of work won’t take that lightly."

i've been hospitalized for uncontrollably rapid swelling of the ego. while i recover, here are a few clips of us performing live, using live and live-looping:

extremely hypothetical situation: killler european porn star 'nadia' appears before me. she's driving a bugatti veyron. she pushes down her sunglasses, looks straight into my eyes and says "you can have me, and the car, but you can never use ableton live again. deal?"

before ableton live, could you ever have imagined picking software over taut, absolute perfection?

years from now, running live on my embedded wristwatch cpu, i'd say to myself 'you know, i bet she smells just as delightful as i imagine she does.'
