Cool. Those faders look familiar - would that be the controller Amon Tobin was using in Paris on the DVD with his new album by chance?Dj-Grobe wrote:Lofa, for that reason i build my own controller monotouchlive.com

Ahh my bug didn't get fixed This was confirmed by ableton also.
0:00 Time display error.
1) Play a clip using the Session view, the time display is located near the
stop button for the entire track.
2) Open the clip Waveform view while inside session. Set a loop point of 8
bars (mine are at the end of the clip), Activate Loop, Save Clip
3) Play Clip from 1.1.1, now scrub towards the loop, or away from it.
Eventually the time will display 0:00. It might take a couple of tries.
0:00 will display until it reaches the loop points. The normal behaviour is
to countdown until it reaches the loop points.

oh wow......!!!!! I was SO waiting for this to be fixed!!!!!!!! wow!!!!!! now I can output those mixes.......
Hi,
I just installed 6.5 and I have been getting some serious cpu spikes like never before. I believe that they are midi related, but I don't know yet.
The first thing I thouched was my microkontrol's pad, leftmost across, three down.
the parameter is being changed coincides with the green, highlit 1st track. Before it worked fine. Now it blinks uncontrollably and when triggered, and creates cpu jamming spike above 1000%
under the midi screen, here is the coinciding data.
note control______PATH____________NAME____MIN__________MAX
CC 10___________1-audio i Mixer____Speaker on________________
I will look into this more, as I need to be able to toggle this button for my current template.
EDIT: I had written in the Name, Min and Max for the wrong parameter. Sorry if it caused any confusion.

Yes, this is a very big problem over here. I made a movie in snapz if you would like to see it. If you under stand the nature of the problem I am sure you can recreate or visualize it. From my underetanding of how max and its filters for handling velocities of zero, it strikes me that under the current setup live is experiencing here a related problem. I can imagine how this could be refered to a midi feedback problem, though I never experienced the earlier report of it before. It seems to be what is going on now, and not in the earlier version.
I may have to inquire about how to download version 6.3.
I was having curious problem with the sends and the return track in 6.3 and I was hoping that 6.5 would help.
I love you guys anyway. No hard feelings.

Beat Repeater Bug (strange behaviour)
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=58418
Midi Control Bug - extremely annoying and really must be fixed!!!!!
In most cases, when using MIDI CC to control buttons
on VST plugins, I'm unable to control the switching.
An example: When using PSP42 the buttons should be
disabled/enabled when sending midi value 0 and 127
respectively. And even though the range is set to full
the button doesn't get enabled with CC control, even
though I'm operating on the whole MIDI range. It works
with Note On though.
A funny thing is that when i select a range of 0.01 to 1.00
the switching to the max value works, but of course not
beeing able to switch it back to the lowest walue.
And when manually moving the slider from min to max
and back again in Lives plugin editor that controls the
button the switching works as it should.
Other plugins that I've experienced similar problems with
are Live Cut and Ephonic Retrodelay.
My setup:
WinXP Pro (P4 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM, etc), Motu Ultralite
Kenton Control Freak Live.

I am not sure. I did not take the time to recreate the original problem as it did not occur on its own. However, from what Robert Henke wrote, from what I understand about the necessity for order of event regarding midi note on/off messages from studying MAX, and from what I am observing on my screen- midi feedback definately looks like an applicable term. Nothing else sounds more likely, as only one parameter is being effected, the relalted graphical representation is flickering non-stop, and the insistant, wavering of the continuous cpu spike.Dj-Grobe wrote:Lofa, you say the trouble you see on new version, its related to midi feedback change on this new version?
Midi bug i reported and ableton fix?
I don't need to work in live for the next few weeks, as preparation for my next performance will demand me to work in jitter and MSP, but I will need to use my live for the event it'self. I will gladly troubleshoot/beta-test whatever needs to be done, though. Let's git 'er done!
Well i dont think midi feedback cause your trouble, i analize the out ableton send.......and....... if you not enable midi feedback change with Options.txt.....well ableton no change the midi order, and work exactly prior versions.
If you not have enabled Options.txt, i stay 99.99% secure thsi not have relation with that : )
Anyway i sugest take your tme to test soon, and report ASAP, thsi is beta stage, and now its when all troubels should be reported.
Best regards.

Right. I totally get what you are saying. I will have to look into further. I tried reseeting all of my preferences to see if it was a result of new installation. The problem, whoever, still exists. While it is clear that the problem is supposed to be un related, when you change things it effects others- which is what I was initially concerned with in the first place (not to go there of course). Anyway, I am worried that this may have happened.
