Live 6.0.3 & Live 6.0.5 on Windows Vista

But the demo sets in the Live 6 demo really aren't working here.
In the demo set 'Distortion' i see the colored lines in Arrangement view, but i don't see any clips in the Session view.
I think the reasen I don't have any sound here, is because operator is not unlocked jet. And the vocals are offline to, but that can be because I just copied everything from my 'old' pc

I test on vista and wow really work smooothhhh
Imac core 2 duo wgb ram, with paralleles.
Run ableton over paralles : )

I see latency, but think its due audio engine in paralleles.

tried live 6.05 on macbook and windows xp sp2:
error on some mp3 files when trying to open in live: this file could not be decoded using direct show.
installed quicktime and vista codecs pack but still same problem.
the same mp3´s on xp with this version of live work without problem.
any suggestions ?

I think its just codec trouble, make public that mp3 for see what up, analize mp3 for see waht code use, and chek if you have correct decoder.

well, it´s not just one mp3 but more of them.
they do not have the same codecs and not even the same bitrame.
per example i encoded 2 waves (from audio cd) into mp3 320kb with wavelab.
one works, the other, no - both encoded with 320kbps.

maybe the only difference was that i choosed "high quality (slower)" setting for one and "medium quality" for the other but cannot remember.

another which does also not work for example is encoded with 202 kbps....

and on windows xp all work perfect.

i tried also to reinstall vista without installing any codec and even not quicktime: same problem or better: so any file worked
installed quicktime: same problem as above with some files but most worked
installed vista codec package: same problem

how to check if there is a codec problem and why albeton uses direct show ?

i use it without parallels - everything works fine but the problem with some mp3´s (direct show error)

since more users r complaining about the "direct show" error this:

Current state of Live 6.0.5

Live 6.0.5 wokrs on Windows Vista.
The only limitation is:

- The drawing of the status bar in the Splash screen does not work properly

is not actual anymore...

please add "direct show" error on certain mp3´s...

Anyone have any issues with Live 6.0.5 loading up hella slow on Vista. I put the Lite version on my gf's HP laptop running the t7200 processer, but this shouldn't affect it since its the same as the full version just with limitations (didn't want use my full version since I already have it on my own 2 comps). I've tried installing both normally, along with the XP SP2 install on Vista, but no difference. Once it finally opens after a couple minutes, it runs fine. Other than that, I have noticed the video issues, but its not really a drawback.

Lot of torubles, with vista under bottcamp.
Lot of crashes.......one of that with machine not making nothing.

For now i back to osx and xp, and more xp, due lor of vst i want use not are available on osx

welcome xp again to my imac !! : )

About run ableotn under vista ,a dn all that under paralles, its gerat idea just for test waht can doen the actual machines with the powerfull cpus avilables.......but dont think its good idea fo live gig !! LOL

Open wave lab reconvert mp3 ie save as file mp3.

Open live load mp3 the problem is fixed.

I have done this several times with mp3s with that same error message.

im having problems with directshow as well, but im not about to hack all my mp3's up. obviously theres got to be a better way than converting every song that doesnt work...
