Hotswapping sample> Position 'current' sample in browser

Post by Poster » Fri Dec 29, 2006 12:23 pm

This is a minor thing but it can be pretty annoying..
When you hotswap a sample, the position of the 'current' sample in the browser is always positioned at the bottom of the browser..
9 out of 10 times i want to audition a new sample that is located beneath this 'current' sample so you have to use the scrollbar..

So it would be very useful if the 'current' sample would be located somewhere in the middle of the browser,
so that you have a better overview of which samples are above and beneath the 'current' sample..

thanks..

Hi Poster,

Isn't the sample positioned where it is in whatever sorting order you set, i.e alphabetical order? It is for me. What are you hotswaping?

hey Amo..

for instance; load a sample in Impulse and then hotswap that sample;
the 'current' sample will be positioned at the bottom of the browser..

It would be more useful when the 'current' sample is positioned somewhere in the middle so you don't have to scroll down every time..

do I make sense?

I reported this too and agree to it:

the hotswapping browser (at some point) starts automatically aligning the current selected sample to the bottom of the browser. This means you have to scroll down to get the next sample visible. It would be logical if it would show at least the next sample below the current selected sample.

Here's my previous thread about it:

Not to hijack your thread, i'll give you a +1 and say that another minor thing that annoys me is when you hotswap a rack and the view allways scrolls to the end of the rack.
I really want it to be the other way around...
