help in choosing a portable apple...

i curently hav a macbook coreduo.... i like it... =)

but now... iv been seeing cheap macbook pro coreduos in our local macforums...
i can even get it by selling my macbook.. without adding more cash...
would it be oki stick on this option?

would the macbook pro 2ghz perform better than my macbook 2ghz?
both running 2gb RAM

my pros n cons....

macbook: i love the weight.. size.. very portable BUT... i find the screen a BIT small during gigs...(small but i like it when i surf at home.. but not really in gigs)

macbook pro: will it be way heavier than the macbook?...i like the backlight keybords and 15inch is sweet =) .. i wont hav problems cleaning it..

thanks for the time reading this=)

The answer is "yes" for a variety of reasons, all of which are available at apple.com!
If you can get it for as much as you sell your computer, then you should go for it.

Actually, performance wise, MacBook Pro and MacBook pro are not dissimilar based on CPU benchmarks. The reasons why MacBook Pros are more widely used in pro audio circles are fairly self explanatory and have been discussed here on numerous occasions. Myself, I use a MacBook CoreDuo, though if someone wanted to swap it with a MacBook Pro 15", I certainly wouldn't turn it down.

I've got a regular MacBook, and overall, like it a lot. Including it's size.

That being said, I'd gladly go for a "free" upgrade to a MBP! 8)
