max/msp into live

Anyone have experience using Max/MSP to route MIDI into Live for extending control capabilities? I've been reading the tutorials on www.cycling74.com but would like to know if anyone's had practical experience with this. Any help is appreciated...

or maybe use max/msp as some kind of VST plug-in?

If you route the midi out of Max/MSP via either the IAC bus on a mac (I think, don't have a mac myself) or MIDIyoke/OX on a pc, and activate the needed midi bus in Live as Remote then you should be fine
