the argument is that the edit button is now part of the file manager system that is new in Live 6,
But the edit button is still there, in the manager.
When we were beta testing the idea of having a "manager" button instead to bring up the file manager instead of right clicking and selecting manager in the waveform.
The problem is that because the manager is a global thing and would bring up all of the waveforms used, it is not a good idea to have this button in each clip.
Therefore the space stays.
I say, instead of bringing he edit button back, can we have a shortcut to the edit button of that clip called something like "EDIT" instead?
This will really help with going through all of the drop down lists etc etc just to edit a sample.

Is there something I am missing - why is it so much harder to click twice? And as far as time, does it really take that much more time to click twice (especially considering it highlights the sample within the list after right clicking "Manage Sample File")?Ball Sack wrote: It is.
Anyway, I agree that they really should have never taken it out if there were no issues with it (I am not sure why it wasn't possible to leave the edit button alone plus add the additional functionality).
And - if this is the worst problem with this release, that's great. (Good to hear there are not bigger issues.)

yes there is something missing., The button. This just adds to the overall clickyness of the software distracting the user from making music. The original method worked perfect whcy change it.huffcw wrote:Is there something I am missing - why is it so much harder to click twice?
