microkontrol and lcd display with live 6

Post by lowrenzo » Sun Oct 08, 2006 5:35 pm

hello guys.
first, i am very disappointed that there is no native remote support for microkontrol.. i thought that was promised by ableton.
isn´t it be possible to get that lcd display working with ableton,..

i know that there are some microkontrol posts out there but no official statement from ableton til now..

when we talk about the microkontrol, is there a difference between live 5 and live 6?? i don´t think so.. because, there is no difference.. no cc mapping, no lcd support,
thats bad dudes..
so please ableton, tell us...
i have read the manual but there is no real information in there.

thx pete

Actually there is CC automapping and banks of parameters, mackie control-style, but it is a shame there is no LCD feedback, you just have to go around blind trying things out, which defeats the purpose of automapping for me. Logic and Reason's implementation is soo much better with LCD feedback (probably because there is no true Native Mode in Live) that working whithout it is just bothering.

Hi, I agree with that.

Please Ableton, make a really native mode for microKONTROL, like reason has...
