I thought the same thing...

That would a pretty hefty task, getting the email of 15,000 users from clicking on the 'email' button.

They either need to be applauded for all the graft or somebody else (another company?) needs to get their hand slapped for allowing (selling?) my email for spam.

Ya know, it's kinda the principle of the thing.

Having said that, the Ambiance expansion sounds interesting.

Can't wait to try out 6.

I too was wondering about that, I keep may e-mail address rather low key and I don’t use it much in connection with Live, so I did wonder how they got it.

For anybody harvesting emails this is my current email address: leavemealone@ihavenomoney.com

was wondering how they got my email too.

I do wonder about these packs sometimes.
I mean whats to stop anyone just creating some presets and patches etc without even listening to them, give them some cool names like "Carpet Munching Filter"

create a bunch of em, pack em all up and sell em for 15 bucks a throw!

wait, that sounds like a great business model!!

look out for my live pack coming soon!

I've emailed them to ask. I hope they didn't find out about me through alt.goat.cheese.enema.com :!:

They say:

Hello,

Thanks for getting in touch. We got your email from the Live forum. We hate unsolicited spam as much as the next guy but this seemed like a good way to touch base with Live users who might be interested, perhaps we should have waited with an "official" announcement on the forum though. We've made it easy to opt-out though so if you'd like to be removed from our list then simply send an email to remove@toneresearch.com with "no thanks" in the subject line. Sorry for any annoyance.

Thanks Again.

yes indeed, and that was after I mistook it for spam :op

where did they get your email from? what..are you nuts?, the media are watching you, paddypaws, and they are reporting every move you make.

Just joking!!!, lol - we all probably been on the same site. Ableton plugins or something. I asked myself the same question "where did they get my email address from" - but since you guys did aswell I will not worry.

Dunno if Live 50 will still turn me on though. ;)
