Video cutting with Live 6

Based on an old tip from Machinate, back in the audio only days.

Install MIDI Yoke, it's free and compact. Enable a MIDI Yoke port turn on the REMOTE on the input, on the output of the same port turn on TRACK.

Make a midi clips in on track, each with the 1 note, C-1, D-2, E-1 etc. Send these out the MIDI YOKE port, with no input.

Go into Session view with the video clip in a track. Find intersting points, hit SET to drop a flag, hit MIDI learn to C-1, D-1. etc to each of the flags. Click on the video until the Clip view window pops up, hit warp, this lets you change BPM and keep the flags in place.

Now when you launch one of those clips in Arrangement view they put the video at one of the flags you set. If you want to loop video, make the controlling clip a loop, then there's follow mode, or assign an external button to the flag.
