samples

Post by msticman » Wed Sep 27, 2006 12:40 am

one thing you want to look for if you are going to use them is the copyright/royalty issues. ive got about 15 gb of samples that im going to have to delete and start over. some are royalty free and some arent. i cant remember which is which. when i redo my folder, i will seperate them into two sections.

another thing, when you start your collection, arrange them in seperate folders. ie, drums, bass, vocals, etc. i waited and didnt do this in the beginning. let me tell you, it took me over a week to go through and seperate.

some mite even say seperate into genres, but i dont go that far. ive used different genre samples together in a project without making the track all weird sounding. but of course i usually cut them up and edit them too.

hope this helps

Dear god please let them make an industrial noise issue, then maybe all these newfangled "industrial" bands will stop making House and Hardstyle and calling it industrial.
