I agree, I feel bad bumping something so old but the information here is excellent and people have gone to a lot of effort.
don't feel bad for bumping it.
there still no LFOs in Live, so bump!
I was just supprised by this thread showing up; totally forgot I posted it..
@ poster sat there thinking, "damn this guy makes a convincing case".
I hate this thread, it has all the things I want and none of them really exist.
That strange 'remote' device, the 'audio-in' for Sampler.
pornographers!

yeah that remote thing; what was I thinking
I really like to mock-up because an image tells so much more then describing such with words..
it's all about the gearporn right?

Don't exist.........yet
An LFO matrix of sorts would pretty much make live into a sample based synthesiser! Abso-bloomin-fantastic!
I can't think of many other new features that'd really sell me on Live 7 as much as this.

I would buy 7 for an LFO alone, really..
it will turn Live into a monster of a modulatable instrument..
now I still use reason/reaktor for all my crazy LFO modulation needs..
although Sampler fills a small part of the gap already..

you know they won't do it though.
'reality' will intervene again, just like that time with the robot castle and the space elves.
damn reality.

Well they've got to include something pretty major with each version to keep people buying...we can but hope!
If they don't do this then their Cycling 74 collaboration could mean we could do this for ourselves...people are getting close with the whole Python code hacking thing.
The more noise we make about this the more likely it is to be noticed
And we're musicians, we should know a thing or two about noise? (see the new generative music tutorial
