Better support for Yamaha 01x

Post by Jett » Mon Jun 19, 2006 8:59 pm

After learning that it is the software manufacturer that has to provide support for a given control surface i would like to ask for better support for the Yamaha 01x.

yeh, I too own an 01X - I mess around with Live lite, but if there was total integration between Live and the 01X I'd be a definite Live6 customer.

The Mackie Control Emulation the 01X provides and Live's Mackie Control implementation isn't enough for you?

Agreed it isn't the most intuitive (button labels are all wrong) however it works.

Cheers !

live = amazing

01x = very very good

together they work ok but its not a fluid partnership without proper emulation.

if ableton did the emulation workflow could be much improved. i still use the mouse for alot of stuff an the 01x controls are guess work and tail an error.

while talkin about 01x i wonder if anyone can help as well. the srub wheel works to scroll up an down clips an the left an right arrows can move you well left an right but i want to get a button to fire clips once ive highlighted them this way i think it would be really easy to trigger any clip you like. i can use midi mapping to assign a control to an individual clip but need sort of a global command to trigger the selected clip??

any clues? can it be done

I also use 01x and would be very glad with better support.
Making assignments of commands to the Function keys combined with the Shift key of 01x does not work properly.
