Ableton Live under TinyXP

Post by Silence » Thu May 18, 2006 1:28 pm

TinyXP is, as You might or might not know, a stripped out version of Windows XP....
this eddition uses only 50MB of ram and only uses 500MB of HD space....
or so i´ve heard.... :P

i was wondering if anyone´s used TinyXP with Ableton and perhaps even Reason 3.0....are the benefits grate?

i know that on paper 50mb of ram instead of like 256 is graaate...but in real life xp acts how ever it wants....

DAMN THIS GUY THAT LAUGHS LIKE A GIRL!!!!!! I CANT EVEN CONCENTRATE ENOUGH TO WRITE THIS POST!!.....i really should go and punch him....

ohh yeah, im at uni now....so thats why im preoccupied with other things....

*note to self....no one gives a shit*

I'm currently using it, and the only problem is MIDI. I had to transfer files from my full version of xp to get MIDI working correct. It's one snappy mofo

These are realy handy when trying out new OS's or just for having a normal and music disk, have them in all my machines, all my friends have them to so it's a snap to just bring your data drives with you.

you can't resize, move, combine existing partitions without erasing everything (right?)

Why was I not informed?!!

Thank you!
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.
