Henke has already posted about this on here.Rayko wrote:Do you mean all of the above (including live) has the same audio engine quality, and a perfect bounce algorythm? Maybe in the land of oz dude!
I was expecting something more tecnical as an answer.
Hope somebody could help (maybe the gods of ableton?)
Thanks
Basically he said when a track is completely unaltered (meaning absolute zero
coloration of sound) it would sound the same bounced down in Pro Tools,
Cubase, Logic, Live, Etc...
The bouncing down a file is done the same way regardless of platform (it's
always basically 1s and 0s ), but as soon as you color the sound then
it's a totally different story.
Obviously there are VERY few people who don't even use an EQ when
producing, so it's sort of a moot point.
Speaking of "moot points", tell me the last time you've seen a ANY DAW
besides Pro Tools in a million dollar plus studio?
Most likely never, and if there are ANY I'd be willing to be it's in the .0001%
range.
But we all know that doesn't mean Pro Tools is the best DAW.
In other words, don't let industry hype and obligation effect which DAW you
produce your music in.
A skilled professional could make 4 Track sound better than than 90%
of "producers" using $500+ DAWs
