Over 45 too old to think about making it happen?

hello and a question...

Post by y0dah » Thu Apr 20, 2006 2:19 pm

For years I've been a vocalist and guitarist in bands off and on, mostly rock covers with some originals. I work in an office, married w/kids, sometimes play open mics, thinking about getting more into music on my own. I've tried out the Live demo, it is very cool

I'm in my late 40s... is it stupid to consider that people might want to see me perform originals using this?

its all about the tunes man.

that said, theres a few image-conscious genres out there, such as hip-hop - then and only then will your appearance become somehow part of your career imho.

You got a dream. Do it. Do it now. Play anywhere you can.

Trust me, no one in the audience is trying to figure out how old you are. All that matters is that your enthusiasm can move the crowd, and that's hard enough to do. Be yourself, and concentrate on the tunes.

Isn't Sven Vath like 92 years old - he's still blowing the spot up pretty hard so...

If you can write jams it doesn't matter if you're a 50 year fat lebanese transgender retard wearing a pirate patch and a safety helmet

A jams a jams a jams a jam - and it's true...electronic music don't discriminate like some other genres of music

get up there and rock it -

Now if you don't have jams, yes you will look like a over the hill guy from the suburbs trying to do something he shouldn't

Dude, Brahms didn't even write his first symphony until well past his 50th birthday.

I'm so glad that fad is over, at least they switched to ninja outfits.

If you're having fun, who cares? Go for it!
