Yeah, that was definitely pretty cool. Nice to see how he sets everything up and works.
Thanks Kung Fu.

There was sound when I watched it.
What KILLS me is that he colors his clips according to what KEY the clip is in. Putting a mix into key is HUGE, otherwise it's more of a mash than a mesh.

if he uses those eight keyboard keys to launch clips....does he keep reassigning more clips as he goes to those white keys?
or is there some feature that lets you select certain clips by rows???
i can do this with mackie emulation but it wont work efficiently in a live setting

Hit MIDI learn and some boxes pop up above the channel in/outs, that's track launch.
Put an encoder on scene select, assign the track launches and you can launch any individual clip you want.

i can scroll through the scenes but i still dont know if it's possible to assign let's say track 4 with the highlighted row..
did you mean this..or individually mapping out each clip?

I mean manual mapping. Hit MIDI learn, the clip launch boxes pop up, click a box, twiddle a controller.

Been listening to this guy's mix on his website....it's sick...literally SICK!! Every song is a mosh of two to three others. This is such the future-is-the-past-is-now. It's freaking my mind out.

Someone should show Sasha that Live can handle more than 4 rows of clips. His head would ignite.
jk
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Dude, my eyeballs almost came outta my skull when I say this guy's set. The way he color codes...just unreal. If you hear his 60 minute set, I think there are at least 200-300 songs in it. Brilliant.

Question on my mind since I saw this video:
How does this guy trigger all those clips with just the 8 notes on his midi keyboard? How can you scroll around in Live without the mouse? How do you choose a multiple clips with the same key? I would think that a midi keyboard that had 25 keys only allows you to select and trigger up to 25 clips. What am I missing? Detailed steps would be really helpful. Thanks much.
