hi

im bad at remebering ableton stuff if i dont have ableton infront of me - im currently on a friends computer so im trying think from memory

when you render it renders from the level of the master volume of the sample/track etc -

are you monitoring that properly - ?

also you get a list of options when you choose to render normalizing etc) are you checking those ´

i will check this more tomorrow when i get home - maybe you will have your question answered by someone by then

cheers

i rendered the songs as 16bit wave files, 44100 samplerate, with and without normalising them.

i am also having similiar problems,
i've even noticed choosing driver type in audio preferences affect live playback output.. (but do not change render quality)..

asio sounds bright and wide,, directx is muffled .. when i render it has similiar sound qualities to the directx playback..

indeed curious

just found something curious,,
was playing renders in wavelab. changed wavelab output to asio and suddenly the sound was better,, my problems revolved around sound drivers..

why asio sounds so much better than directx is now my new question??? (even the asio directx driver)

well.
