amo, the first impression is the best impression dude.

IT WORKS.... thats the biggest achievement. Of course there are lots of things to be said about improving the player, but its upto your time, patience and skill. Good luck on next versions pal, great job, and please try to make the interface more appealing next time round :P

PS: you can give suggestions here, there may be things I didn't think about...

I dont think i can give any suggestions really. I just want a normal player that is 90% reliable, works with huge video files and can start from any bar on the grid. That was the thing i felt missing, but its like im asking Live 6 for free. Take your time and make the best possible feature packed player that you can personally do. Good luck :)

yes ! 8)
Quite easy in fact: in MAX/MSP, choose "build colective" from the file menu, there you're given the choice (once you hit the build button) to save it as a MAX collective, a standalone application or a plugin.

Trying to get my ass to correct two three things including look of the buttons, and the mute button thing.

Cheers,

Yes, that's what standalone stood for in my previous post. It will run using MAX/MSP runtime though, but you can get a single exe file that does not need to be installed.
I had the choice to make an exe file working in rewire for that MoviePlayer, but I thought a plug would be much easier to use.
That rocks !
btw, have you tried MoviePlayer ?

Did you install pluggo runtime from the link I provided ? (i.e. the last one)
You dragged the plug in a track right ?

Been using the player for a week or so now, and my only concern is that I have to reload the video every now and again. For some reason, and this occurs when I shut down Live (tho I save before adn with the vid loaded), and/or a few times when Live was opened and vid was loaded. My other concern, is that when you trigger another clip, the vid player hides behind Live. Is there a way to ensure that the Vid player stays front and center?

Awesome just what i needed, and no cpu usage at all, fantastic. Dont worry about the interface its fine, it does the job and doesnt need to be updated. This isnt the 80's .......looks arent everything. Bloody Brill!
