Can you get the audio from the movie into Live ? If yes, what's your soundcard setup ?? I don't seem to achieve that on my system....

oops... doesn't work, you're right - it somehow gets routed around live? I was just really psyched to be able to hear the audio as well, I figured it was coming from the track.

That must be something you can fix, right?

Glad it makes some people happy. :D

Hey, I've change a bit the thing: I've setup a page repeating the first post in that thread with instructions and a "donate" button, just in case some people here are successfull using the plug for real world work and care about making the developper happy, or if any has cash to spare  . It's using paypal and is not meant to be used by everybody ! Feel free to download and use the plug as much as you want ! Please share the link to the page instead of just sharing the plug. Thanks.

Kind regards,

amo

doesn't work on mac... the .dll files aren't recognized by pluggo.

quick question, does it work with tempo changes? I wrote some software that did this in a separate app, but found out (in the middle of a project) that it wouldn't work with Live because Live apparently doesn't interpret Full Frame MTC messages correctly if there is a tempo change in the arrangement.

So it would work great if I didn't have any tempo changes (not acceptable for film scoring obviously) but if I did have some and scrubbed the video Live would jump to the wrong place. It would all play in sync fine from beginning to end, but one puase / jump in the timeline and it was screwed.

just curious.

Hi,

I just realized yesterday that I will have to recompile it for MAC, I'll do it soon and it should be noproblem: the source is cross platform.

As for the sync, good question. I haven't tested it yet, but tempo change of time signeture change (if they would be there) shouldn't be a problem: the plug takes sync from the sample count from the beginning of the song, not from the beat count or the tempo. So it os only dependant of time and sample rate.
Will update soon with a MAC version.

Best,
amo

A MAC version is now online !!!! Yes, MoviePlayer v0.02 is crossplatform ! Please check it out good people !!!!
Though ! I screwed and compile too times the same file instead of doing the small and the big size. After noticing, I tried to open Fucking MAX/MSP again and the demo died. Told me it was expired... Well, that the fastest 30 days I've ever seen, only lasted 15 minutes... So it's only small size for MAC now. Hopefully, v0.03 will soon be two size, and that's good enough for now to test it.

I plan a version 0.1 with 96 Khz support soon, and then a next version trying different method to get the sound to work through Live and other stuff....

Actually, there is a bug: it says 44100 and 48000 Khz, which is obviously wrong ! Should be Hz only but nobody reported

So, get it here (PC version didn't change yet)

Hi,

Did you put it in the right folder ? i.e where your vst plugs are ? did you go to preferences and clic the update button in the plugin pane ?

Hello,

I did not update my plugs in Live. I'll try that when I get home from work.

Thanks for the plug and for the help!
