Do I have to reset Sync delay everytime?

Post by HolySpiritSoldier » Wed Dec 28, 2005 8:49 pm

I am using v5.03...

I use my drum-machine as a master clock source and I have my Sync delay in Midi preferences set to -26ms so that live is in proper sync with the rest of my gear... but everytime I open Live, I have to go into preferences and set the sync delay again... This shouldn't be happening should it? Its only a small thing but its annoying....

Anyone?

Hi HolySpiritSoldier,

so when you start Live and look into the preferences, you see the -26ms there but it does behave as would there be still 0 ms?
Or does it forget the -26ms so you have to enter it again?

Hi Alex,

No, the sync has reset itself to 0. I have to put the -26 value in each time I open Live..

As I said, its annoying, even though its just a small problem... Does this happen with your version?

Hi HolySpiritSoldier,

ok, I got it. Looks simply like a bug. And an embarrassing one too :)
I put it on our list so we can fix it hopefully soon.

Hi Alex...

well, the quick response is impressive anyway :D

I'll look forward to the fix, but until then it's not a big problem. Glad to know that it will be fixed at some point..

Hope you are enjoying a nice Christmas and I wish you and the Ableton team a very happy, prosperous and productive new year...

Thanks for your time,

God bless
