Importing from CD

Post by djadonis206 » Thu Dec 22, 2005 6:13 pm

Live has or has not this feature?

I was trying to figure that out last night - my CD drive was not showing up in the browser (actually it did, however nothing was showing)

OK - I used Pro-Tools to import the track I wanted and actually cut my loops out of there but it would be nice to remain in the Ableton Domain

Should this be moved to Feature Wishlist?

thanks

Man, try out cdEX 1.51 before you do. It's a pretty cool all-in-one dealie for mp3-ripping and wave-ripping. Freeware.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.

You got it DJA, there is no way to import tracks from a CD into Live.

What I do is import the CD into iTunes, making sure to check the preferences and adjust them to import as WAV. Then I'll drag and drop the songs I want onto my desktop, then through Live's browser I'll click my way through and find the songs.

A CD import feature would save me time too.
