BCR2000 is by far the most flexible for me, Behringer is the only company to get the Encoder group thing down correctly. A bit flimsy, but the midi implementation is stellar.

hmmm. Apart from some custom jobby, I'd actually have to say TriggerFinger atm. I just found out what a good floorboard it is - Total Toe Control! And with the pressure sensitivity you can get pretty freaky.

From all the available ones i talked about at the beguining of this post, probably the best to "fit in all worlds" is the WAVE IDEA BITSTREAM 3X!

http://www.waveidea.com/

All the others are to much "4 DJ" or only for "production" or synth control!

Opinions needed.

Producers, Djs and Vjs, reveal wich are your controllers!
Maybe you have something we never heard about b4...!

the UC-33 is the nicest mixer style one in terms of being small and useful.

toughest slider controller is the peavey pc-1600x. It's got really nice faders and is metal. (i've gigged with one for 6 years and really tortured the fucker)

nice one for OOooooh factor is the eyris - http://www.synesthesiacorp.com/eyris.html

i've never had a keyboard controller that i've been 100% satisfied with. I've settled with a fatar synth action one, someday i'll get a hammer action one, someday...

I'm sold on the X-Station. I'll probably get Trigger Finger as well, a friend loaned me an AKAI MPD16, and it's really nice, the software is not so good though, and the Trigger Finger has even more sliders and knobs!
For keyboard controllers though, it's hard to beat the X-Station, aftertouch, bulit in synth, built in USB MIDI and audio in/out, templates for 40 odd devices. :)

Well being something of a noob to Live (just purchased v4 and got my v5 serial) I'm still in the process of getting everything set up perfectly - but it's MIDI implementation is still leaps and bounds ahead of anything else in terms of performance and control. Anything that gets you away from using a mouse/postpones the arthiritis can only be a good thing :)

Mixing: An old Yamaha Promix 01 - everything sends out assignable MIDI CC's meaning you can control 16 channels worth of faders, pans, mutes & solos w/4 sends each AND an EQ4 on each channel.

Remote: Using a Behringer FCB1010 to switch scenes/arm tracks/punch in & out of record.

Synths & Crossfader : A very beloved Yamaha AN1x w/8 assignable knobs and a ribbon controller. I've just set up a patch for each of my fave synths and a couple for controlling plugs and the crossfader etc.

Maven is Sasha's custom controller, I know he is trying to get it in production and sell it but since its open box technology I don't think he will be able to claim a copyright on it, then again he can afford big time laaawyers. So, we'll see...
