Re: Tight Live Sync with External Synths using Sample Accurate Clock
In 1988 I started gigging with a TR626 and an SH101. To fill out the sound I had a cassette tape with backing pads on the left channel and a Roland sync pulse in the right which fed into the drum machine clock in and that drove the SH101 timing .
It seems insane to me that 35 years later we are still using essentially the same system for sync.

Yeah, using a square wave pulse is a fundamental design in electronics and pretty universal when you want to clock something. It's one of the things this device is capable of (including the ability to stripe a tape as well), but don't forget the other old things it does too: MIDI and CV Triggers
