Multiple MIDI Controllers

Post by Sem ten Haaf » Tue Sep 06, 2022 8:19 am

Hi everyone! I'm working on a project where I'd like to use two different MIDI controllers to control Ableton during a live performance. These MIDI controllers are the AKAI APC Key 25 and the AKAI APC Mini. I want to map the faders of the AKAI APC Mini to the volume faders of each track in Ableton and want to use the knobs on the AKAI APC 25 to control different effects and plugins. The thing is, these knobs and faders send out the same CC value so if I map one to the faders or effects, the other is mapped to those as well. Is there a way to work around this? Thanks in advance! :D

Seems you need some kind of cc convertor inbetween your controller and live……

Maybe some of these plugins can do it for you, check ‘m out.

You could set one controller to send on a different midi channel.

Check out remotify, you could make a script for the mini and volume control and just midi map the other.
