Locking a plugin window to always be visible?
Is there a way to lock a plugin so it doesnt disappear when switching tracks?
I only want this to happen for the metering plugin I use on the Master, irrespective of which track I am working on...
I like the functionality otherwise where the plugin windows disappear as you switch from track to track - it keeps everything tidy, so I dont want to fully disable it, just want the ability to keep that one single plugin 'always on'

Is there any solution for this?
The ability to have one master metering plugin while other plugins would "auto hide" when a track is not selected would make for a useful feature.

You probably have "Auto Hide Plugin Windows" enabled in the preferences. Disable it and your plugins will stay open when you switch tracks.

Hey Ableton Team! Please, what is the solution for this in Ableton 10?? The button to click "Auto-Hide Plug-in Windows" in the tab "Look Feel" is no more there, is missing in Ableton 10! WHY??? Please help us!!! Back it, or give us another solution.

Forget it! I found this buttom... it moved to the tab "Plugins".

Has anyone figured this out yet? Or if Ableton made it possible?

Be great if I could select which plugins disappeared and which did not when using the auto hide button. As the OP stated. Keeping some analyzer plugins open would be great, yeat all aother plugins (synths etc) were auto hidden as I move through the project.

Yeah being able to pin specific plugin windows to remain open would be so handy.

Just want to reframe this request. The "Auto Hiide" switch in the plugins tab of preferences applies to all plugin windows.
It would be very useful to have the ability to enable/disable auto hide for one specific plugin, so it is always visible but the rest do auto hide. Currently the only way to do this is to have Auto hide enabled and individually open and close plugins when moving channels.

A great feature indeed. Setting to be remembered between sessions (with plugin positioning on the desktop), so that some of those plugins might be pinned in project template.
