warp mode induced clicks and pops?

Post by funkateer » Mon Jun 20, 2005 7:00 am

When I record external audio, or Rewired audio output, and have warp mode set (so I can use the clip in a loop), I get some pops and clicks in the clip. In the clip view, as it plays back, there is some weird redraw behavior where the cursor is about to hit the next beat, but jumps forward to the next beat, before jumping back to where it should be. If I turn off warp mode, the clicks disappear.

I've got reasonable latencies set, and have most of the the musicxp.net tuning tips installed on my DAW. No audio problems like this recording at higher sample rates and deeper bit depth and more channels with Cubase. CPU meter never goes above 5% on my laptop (2.4GHZ, 512MB ram). This is with Live 4.1.4. Anybody else see this kind of behavior? Am I missing some crucial bit of system configuration?
