Follow actions for scenes

Post by NoSonic822 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 1:38 pm

Or at least give us the ability to program a measure count for a scene and then so it automatically proceeds to the next sscene....

so program scene 1 for 8 bars then scene 2 starts on the 9th for ie. 32 bars etc...

this would so good.

Probably the most requested feature....

Get max4live and get this... http://isotonikstudios.com/modular_max4live/ you want the Follow device....

Or wait until Ableton implement it, probably in Live 10 if at all...

There's a lot of other posts on this if you search...

Cheers

the workaround i figured out now....it's not perfect but.......but you select all clips in the session...then you can globally change the follow actions to all the same..so like 8 bars play next.....100%.....if you have you set planned out well....like the clips, yif you r making a song...and you have lots of individual clips...then you can record this all to arrangment....and it will basically play the song for you.....in 8 bar increments......which is good for getting you clips onto arragngement in a neat and tidy order......

oh yea and you have to insert dummy cclips for silence in between clips where you want that track to play nothing...

im pretty happey with this though...dont know why i didnt htink of this before..

You have Suite though, so the Free Version of Follow would do that automatically for you...

I just found this thread - I have recently been starting to use follow actions on clips, which is a really great feature of Live.

I do a lot of my work using scenes rather than launching individual clips and I to think it would be brilliant if Live had follow actions for the scene launch buttons, so that entire scenes would follow a set sequence the same way one can use follow actions for clips.

So I'd like to add my vote to this request - let's have follow actions for scenes!
