That's so cool! Ergodex is only $150? How could you not get one? My only reservation is that I'm running out of desk space.

The Mawzer looks like a Reaktor UI jumped out of someone's screen and into the real world. Crazy stuff.

uhm, yeah... a 150$ computer keyboard... I could build a kick-ass midi controller with that kind of money!

I have an Illustrator CS file for the Mawzer to mock up the layout. PM me if you want it (or, better yet, if you can post it for download for me.)

The Mawzer is similar to an idea I was throwing around, but the Mawzer is a LOT nicer...

I was tossing around the idea of a modular kit that would allow you to use the UCaps and other DYI Midi kits. The kit would have different plates for sliders, pots, wheels etc to be attached to, and connectors to attach the wiring to, so little to no soldering would be necessary, and they could be re-arranged easily...

The Mawzer seems to have taken that to a higher level...

it just needs a mod wheel unit.
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

Machinate, your crazy. you couldnt build a 150 controller that you could tear down and setup in different ways, in a nice, attractive package like that. maybe if you were on a production line...

No, you're right - it does look nice - but think about it, you could buy 100 used computer keyboards with that kind of money! It's just like the Mawzer modular midi controller - nice, but WAAY too pricey. The ultimarc I-pac is only 35$. Add funky buttons, long metal rods, spiral cable, and I'll show you the meanest trigger-box ever

Anyway, I guess I'm really advocating for people to think outside of the box.
