I cleared my registry files, uninstalled/reinstalled Ableton, did a boot scan on my laptop, cleared bad sectors and went as far as you might imagine; however, non of the above fixed the crashing problem.
Do I need a new RAM? That's all I can think of at this point. Here are the specs of the RAM and HDD:
RAM: 4GB max. DDR2 (currently on 1GB total)
RAM Slots: 2 (500MB in each slot)
Memory Speed: DDR2 667 MHz
HDD: 120GB 4200rpm
Bit: 32-bit
The laptop is almost 6 years old and it's not a Mac. I hope this helps answering my question.
Thanks

Try running memtest86 (google it); it may take a while but you will know if you have to change ram

Re: Memory Corruption Detected (0x6e)
What should I be looking for in the test results that determines RAM failure hence indicates a necessary replacement?
Which version of testmem86 shall I use?
Thanks

Re: Memory Corruption Detected (0x6e)
I let memtest86 run for 2 cycles and there were no errors; 100% pass. Is there a specific way or setting to running the program?
